Columbia Heights Public Schools Hosts Fifth-Annual Community Pow Wow

Columbia Heights Public Schools will host the fifth-annual American Indian Community Pow Wow, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 11 at the Hylander Center, 1400 49th Avenue NE, Columbia Heights.

This year’s theme is “Drumming and Dancing Into the Future” featuring host drum group Southside Ramblers and the 101st Airborne Color Guard. The event is free and will include grand entry, drumming, singing, dancing, vendors and food.

“The annual Pow Wow is a such a great celebration of community and culture for all ages!” said Executive Director of Educational Services Zena Stenvik.
