Community Ed Introduces Yoga Flow Adult Enrichment Class

Columbia Heights Public Schools (CHPS) Community Education has introduced a new Yoga Flow class. Yoga Flow is a beginner to intermediate class. Students can expect a combination of yoga flow, restorative and yin postures. Every class will have breath cues, alternative posture options for all levels and end with a relaxing guided savasana.

Yoga Flow is a new class offered to complement the popular existing yoga classes taught by Michael Ledman.

Taught by 200-hour certified yoga teacher from Columbia Heights Kelly O’Donnell, Yoga Flow is a unique and special yoga experience. Kelly combines her background in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative and Tantric practices to create a class that is not only invigorating, but also relaxing and calming. She focuses on breath and body coordination to help release tension from the day.

“Yoga has helped bring balance to my life,” said O’Donnell of how practicing yoga has affected her own life. “I love how in touch I am with my body. The practice helps me clear my head, so I can make the most out of my day!”

Yoga Flow is offered 6-7 p.m. Thursdays January through May at the CHPS Family Center, 1440 49th Ave. NE, Columbia Heights.
