District Hosts Second of Three Seminars on Supporting Students’ Social-Emotional Health
Columbia Heights Public Schools – in partnership with the Lee Carlson Center for Mental Health & Well-Being – is hosting the second of three educational seminars on student’s social-emotional health on 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at the Columbia Heights Public Schools Family Center, 1440 49th Ave. NE, Columbia Heights.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend this presentation that will discuss early mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, defiance, attention difficulties and social skills. Participants will learn skills to manage their child's emotions and behaviors, as well as ways to talk with their child about feelings.
There is no cost to attend this event. Childcare will be provided for children 3 and older. Spanish interpreter will be available upon request. Pizza will be served. RSVP to Barb Erickson at 763-528-4414 or EricksoB@colheights.k12.mn.us.
