Columbia Heights High School Students Inducted into National Honor Society
Columbia Heights High School (CHHS) inducted 46 juniors and seniors into its chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) last week. This year’s inductees join current CHHS NHS members in having been selected based on demonstrated excellence in the organization’s four areas of criteria: scholarship, leadership, service and character.
The annual induction is always a special event at CHHS. This year, the school welcomed Mr. Christopher Polley as the honorary guest speaker, followed by two student speakers, Gabriela Ortiz Rivera and Ji Hong No.
“I am very proud of all our new National Honor Society members,” said CHHS NHS Advisor Melanie Kennedy. “I look forward to watching them grow academically and personally into leaders who serve our school and community.”
