CHHS Duo Sign National Letters of Intent
Columbia Heights High School seniors and Hylander football players Manny Alvarez (left) and Joel Kromah signed letters of intent Feb. 7.
Alvarez, a 6-foot 6-inch lineman, signed to play football next year at St. Cloud State University. Alvarez played on the North Team for the 45th Annual Minnesota High School All-Star Game held this past December. Among his football accomplishments are Twin Cities All-District and Offense Lineman of the Year (Red Sub District) for 2016 and 2017 and 2017 Star Tribune All-Metro Second Team.
Kromah signed his letter of intent with North Dakota College of Science, also to play football next year. Kromah was a three-year starter with the Hylanders as a Defensive Back and Running Back. His accomplishments include being selected as a 2017 Twin Cities (Red Sub District) Honorable Mention.
