Seniors Selected for "Ambassadors of Peace" Scholarships

City of Peace scholarship recipients Three Columbia Heights High School seniors and a class of 2016 graduate have been aelectedto receive $1,000 "Ambassadors of Peace" post-secondary scholarships. The three seniors (photo from left to right), Tsion Tulu, Kevin Riera, Salma Ahmed and Domenica Llerena (class of 2016), were the winners of an essay contest on "The importance of peace and how to go about making it happen in our society and community." The four were presented their scholarships by Gary Peterson, President of the Columbia Heights Activity Fund, Wed, March 15, at Murzyn Hall in Columbia Heights.
