Columbia Heights Public Schools Announces Search Timeline for New Valley View Elementary School Principal

Columbia Heights Public Schools has begun the search for the next Valley View Elementary School principal. Current Principal Willie Fort has announced his retirement at the conclusion of the 2016-2017 school year. The District – which is managing the search process – welcomes applications from exceptional candidates to lead the school.

Key timeline events for the search include:

March 31, 2017     Application deadline.

April 27, 2017       Meet the principal finalists from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the District Center Community Room (1440 49th Ave NE, Columbia Heights).

Valley View Elementary School – located at 800 49th Ave. NE in Columbia Heights – serves the communities of Columbia Heights, Hilltop and Southern Fridley. The Valley View principal will lead a building of 540 diverse learners pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade and approximately 60 staff with a focus on college- and career-readiness.
