Columbia Heights Public Schools (CHPS) fall activities registration is now open!
Activities offered this fall include boys soccer, girls soccer, girls tennis, and girls swim & dive.
The Minnesota State High School League – which provides leadership regarding school activities programming – decided earlier this month to move football and girls volleyball to a spring season. Bowling has also been moved to a spring season. No decision regarding adapted soccer has been made at this time. More information on practice opportunities for football, volleyball and spring sports will be forthcoming.
Given the unprecedented times, new safety practices are being implemented to ensure the safety of athletes, coaches and potential spectators.
“We are so excited that registration is open for fall activities,” said Activities Manager Jake Henderson. “Though this first season will be different because of changes to our offerings based on MSHSL board decisions, CHPS remains committed to providing a safe and fun environment, while following Minnesota Department of Health guidelines.”
All practices begin Monday, Aug.17 unless otherwise noted. Columbia Academy boys soccer will begin Monday, Sept. 14.
