Starting with the 2023-2024 school year, all Columbia Heights Public Schools (CHPS) students MUST OPT-IN to receive a bus route for the school year.  This is a change from previous years when eligible students were automatically routed. No students will be placed on a bus route without completing the opt-in form. Students only qualify if they live within the bus zone. Requiring an opt-in form will allow for more efficient transportation planning and may shorten bus routes in addition to saving money for the district.

If you do not opt-in for busing and live within the busing zone, you can sign up, but the request may take up to two weeks. Please contact CHPS Transportation if you decide to opt-in after the August 1, 2023 deadline.
