Where We All Belong
Columbia Heights Public Schools is committed to providing “worlds of opportunities for each and every learner -- All Belong, All Succeed.” We include all families in this commitment. Our schools serve all with dignity, honor and love.
Columbia Heights Public Schools has a proud tradition of welcoming and supporting all students and we carry forward this tradition today. In our schools, students have the chance to find friendship, develop knowledge and discover comfort in worlds different than their own. In an increasing diverse world, we recognize that our immigrant families contribute greatly to providing a rich and valuable education within our schools to the benefit of all.As we focus our efforts on the success of our students, we hold fast to the Core Values of our School District: Community, Excellence, Collaboration, Integrity, Respect, Courage and Innovation. These values provide the foundation for the decisions we make and the actions we take as a School District. Each is important but Community is listed first because we know that our strength comes from being united as one. We are brothers, sisters and Hylanders—all!
We are a community, bound together by love for all of our children whose future will be shaped by the education they receive. We are a school district, proud of the fact our students demonstrate every day that our schools are a place ALL BELONG, ALL SUCCEED. We are families, diverse in our origin, language, culture, and religion, but together in sharing the “unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” We are individuals, each with our own dreams and struggles, but all of us benefiting from kindness, both given and received.
To all of our families, we want you to know that we value you, we respect you, and we work together with you for the success of your child. We are Columbia Heights Public Schools, where we truly all belong. Please contact your school principal if your child is in need of support. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your child and family.
