In 2024-2025, Columbia Heights Public Schools partnered with organizations in the areas of direct student support, health and safety, and family engagement.

Direct Student Support: The organizations we partner with to provide direct student support offer tutoring, field trips, enrichment, skill development and scholarships.
Health and Safety: The organizations we partner with for health and safety provide direct health services as well as important health and safety information and resources, such as vaccine clinics, dental hygiene.
Family Engagement: The organizations we partner with provide families with for family engagement opportunities to access community resources such as housing, food and advocacy.

In 2024-2025, Columbia Heights Public Schools promoted two-way communication via community-facing publications and membership in civic organizations, advisory committees that include community members, and community events.

Community-facing publications and communication included:

CHPS Update: A weekly newsletter sent to parents/guardians of all enrolled students, some community members, and students in grades 6-12. (4200 points of contact)
Hylander Connect: A monthly newsletter sent to approximately 500 community members. (500 points of contact)
Community Connections: A seasonal newsletter. (27539 points of contact)
Communication also includes the "contact us" feature on the district website, press releases, social media, school marquees, and membership in civic organizations.
