Testing & Assessments

Columbia Heights Public Schools administers the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs) each spring to students in grades 3-8, 10 and 11. Students in grades 3-8 take the reading and math tests. Students in grade 10 take the reading test and students in grade 11 take the math test.

Science is given to students in grade 5, grade 8 and the year CHHS students take their high school Life Science class. Special Education students may qualify to take the MCA-modified (MTAS) tests depending on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
