Goal Area 1
Goal Area 1: All students ready for school
Students enrolled in PreK 3 and PreK 4 will show growth in all assessed areas as measured by TS GOLD assessments given in the Fall of 2024 and Spring of 2025.
- PreK 3 and PreK 4 teachers met weekly for PLCs to discuss data and inform instruction
- LETRS for Early Childhood professional development as part of the READ Act professional development requirement.

Goal Area 2
Goal Area 2: Close the achievement gap among all groups
The achievement gap in Columbia Heights Public Schools will decrease by 5% from the Spring 2024 to the Spring 2025 school year as measured by the FastBridge Reading Proficiency in grades K-10.

Goal Area 3
Goal Area 3: All students achieving college and career readiness before graduating from high school
Increase the number of students in grades 10-12 taking college level courses (AP, Early College, PSEO) and career courses (CTE), and/or AVID by 5% from 2023-2024 to 2024-2025.
Strategies:
- Increase number of opportunities (classes and frequency)
- PLTW and AP Computer Science courses
- Increased Introduction to Education pathway courses

- Continued focus on seeking opportunities to partner with businesses and industry

Goal Area 4
Goal Area 4: All students graduating from high school
Maintain or increase the graduation rate from 2023-2024 to 2024-2025, for every race/ethnicity.

- Professional Development around instruction and culturally relevant instruction
Results from 2024-2025: The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) has not yet released the 2025 Graduation Rates. The graduation rate for Columbia Heights High School in 2024 was 88.3%, which is a decrease from the 2023 graduation rate of 92.1%. The overall graduation rate for Minnesota in 2024 was 84.2%.
Goal Area 5
Goal Area 5: Prepare students to be lifelong learners
Students will have an opportunity to connect their learning to real-world experiences at least 3 times a year in the 2024-2025 school year.
Opportunities could include, but are not limited to, experiences with community members, businesses, older students, guest speakers or field trips, career exploration and career surveys.

Goal 1: Increase the college and career readiness for Hispanic students from 42% participating in early college classes to 51% participating in 2026 in order to match overall high school demographics.
