Safety

With the new school year here, we wanted to reintroduce our youth outreach officers to the Columbia Heights community. Officer Airreon Austin, Officer Tabitha Wood, and, of course, Kansas, work in partnership with Columbia Heights Public Schools to ensure a safe and supportive environment in the schools.

Officer Austin, the primary youth outreach officer, has been with CHPD for three years, while Officer Wood, the backup youth outreach officer, has been with CHPD for 11 years.

You'll see Officer Austin and Officer Wood in the schools, at open gym, and at community events. When you see them, say hi, and don't forget to ask for a CHPD trading card.
