Columbia Heights Public Schools administers the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs) each spring to students in grades 3-8, 10 and 11. Students in grades 3-8 take the reading and math test. Students in grade 10 take the reading test and students in grade 11 take the math test.
Science is given to students in grade 5, grade 8 and the year students take their high school Life Science class. Special Education students may qualify to take the MCA-modified (MTAS) tests depending on their Individualized Education Plan.

We are committed to the health and safety of all students and staff. On January 26, 2021 thirty 11th grade students registered to take the PSAT/NMSQT test will be on-site at the High School. Posted by:To help teachers in planning for instruction. The tests are not part of your student’s report card.

Posted by:No. The answers must be the student’s own so that we can best support in his or her learning.

When will I get the results?
Posted by:At fall and winter conferences, your student’s homeroom teacher (grades K-5), or math/English teacher (6-8) can share the information.
