    Reports from Members of the Board

    Chair Naty Severson attended a School Board Chair meeting, had conversations with Superintendent Stenvik, and had conversations and emails with community members. She also thanked those who reached out to the Board regarding the return-to-school decision.

    Vice Chair Lorien Mueller attended a sub-committee on community engagement meeting, a School Board Chair meeting, and had conversations and emails with community members. She also thanked those who reached out to the Board regarding the return-to-school decision.

    Clerk Molly Lewis attended a sub-committee on community engagement meeting, a virtual meeting with Superintendent Stenvik, and had several conversations with parents and community members. She also thanked those who reached out to the Board regarding the return-to-school decision.

    Treasurer Laura Palmer thanked those who reached out to the Board regarding the return-to-school decision. 

    Director Hala Asamarai attended a sub-committee on community engagement meeting and communicated with community members, parents and students. She also thanked those who reached out to the Board regarding the return-to-school decision.

    Director John Larkin had conversations with community members and staff, and had a conversation with Superintendent Stenvik. He also thanked those who reached out to the Board regarding the return-to-school decision.

    Superintendent's Report
    Superintendent Zena Stenvik attended a call with the Commissioner of Education which helped inform the District's return-to-school decision and plan. She attended an Association of Metropolitan School Districts Special Meeting on back-to-school plans. Superintendent Stenvik also had communication with various School Board members and thanked those who provided input to District Administration and the Board regarding the return-to-school decision.

    Columbia Heights High School Assistant Principal Matt Miller presented information on the MSHSL membership. View the presentation.

    Facility Rental Fees
    Director of Technology, Security & Building Operations Bryan Hennekens presented information on the District's recommended changes to facility-use fees.

    The Board approved a virtual Community Engagement session for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19.
