  • Acknowledgment of Contributions 

    Chair John Larkin announced a resolution to accept current contributions in the amount of $2,150.63. The total fiscal year contributions to date is $2,150.63.

    Chair John Larkin participated in a School Board Chair meeting.

    Vice Chair Naty Severson participated in conversations with community members about the 2018 Bond Referendum and the start of the new school year. Also participated in a School Board Chair meeting.

    Treasurer Lorien Mueller participated in conversations with community members.

    Clerk Hala Asamarai was not in attendance.

    Director Molly Lewis participated in conversations with community members, specifically regarding the 2018 Bond Referendum.

    Director Laura Palmer participated in conversations with community members.


    Superintendent's Report

    Superintendent Kathy Kelly was not in attendance.

    Opening Week Activities 
    Executive Director of Educational Services Zena Stenvik briefed the Board on information about back-to-school happenings. She shared information on new teacher induction, staff training sessions, District convocation and all-staff picnic. She also invited School Board Members to welcome new teachers and attend convocation and the picnic.

    Curriculum Cycle Update
    Executive Director of Educational Services Zena Stenvik and Curriculum Coordinator Tara Thukral presented an annual informational update on the District's curriculum cycle. There is no governance question with this presentation. View their presentation.

    Academic Return on Investment (AROI) Update
    Executive Director of Educational Services Zena Stenvik and Director of Technology, Security and Building Operations Bryan Hennekens presented information on the District's Academic Return on Investment. There is no governance question with this presentation. View their presentation.

    Grievance
    Chair John Larkin provided an update regarding a grievance brought to the Board in July.
