• Columbia Heights Public Schools is pleased to offer FREE voluntary PreK programming to 4-year-olds. This four-star Parent Aware program prepares children for success in school! Classes are taught by licensed, early childhood education teachers and administered by Columbia Heights Public Schools. The PreK 4 curriculum is aligned with the Kindergarten curriculum and Minnesota Early Learning Standards. Busing is provided for PreK 4 families in the Columbia Heights Public School District boundaries. Students enrolled in PreK 4 must go through Early Childhood Screening within 90 days of entering PreK. PreK 4 classes are located at Highland Elementary, North Park School for Innovation (NPSfI), Valley View Elementary and the Family Center.

    • Full-day PreK 4 at Highland is only available to residents who live in the Highland boundaries and qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch.

    • Full-day PreK 4 at Valley View is only available to residents who live in the Valley View boundaries and qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch.
    • Full-day programming is not available at the Family Center.
