A member of the City of Columbia Heights City Council introduced himself as the new liaison to this School District.
Acknowledgement of Contributions
Chair John Larkin announced, and the School Board approved, a resolution for accepting current contributions in the amount of $2,105.03. The total fiscal year monetary contributions to date is $11,215.45.

Vice Chair Naty Severson participated in the Jan. 9 Organizational and Regular Business Meetings and the Jan. 30 Board Chair Meeting. She attended band concerts, conference basketball games and high school conferences.
Treasurer Lorien Mueller participated in the Jan. 9 Organizational and Regular Business Meetings. She participated in a TIES meeting and attended the Columbia Academy Principal Roundtable. Ms. Mueller also had conversations with community members.
Clerk Hala Asamarai deferred her comments.
Director Laura Palmer deferred her comments.
Director Molly Lewis was not present.

Discontinuance of Programs and Positions Resolution
Director of Human Resources Lindsey Bennett briefed the School Board on a resolution that would direct the Superintendent and Administration to consider the discontinuance of programs and positions to effectuate economies in the School District and reduce expenditures. This agenda item will be brought forward as an Action Item at the next School Board meeting.
State Resolution to Fully Fund Special Education Services
The School Board approved a State of Minnesota Resolution related to fully funding Special Education Services.
Federal Resolution to Fully Fund Special Education Services
The School Board approved a Federal Resolution related to fully funding Special Education Services.
High School Water Piping Replacement Bid
The School Board approved the contract to Horwitz Mechanical from Hallberg Engineering. The project will be funded with Capital Levy and Long-Term Facility Maintenance funds included in this year's budget.
Vice Chair Severson complemented all of the District students and volunteers who participated in the Polar Plunge fundraiser for SACA.
