Eat Up The Debt Challenge
The Columbia Heights Public Schools (CHPS) Mission is to "create worlds of opportunity for every learner in partnership with supportive small-town communities." Our District is committed to educating every one of our students. Yet, not every student has the nutritional or financial means needed to sustain their educational needs.
More than 75 percent of CHPS students qualify and participate in the National School Lunch Program. Many of these economically challenged families are struggling financially and many are unable to meet their school lunch payments.
Our District will never deny food to our students, yet we cannot sustain the mounting debt associated with this program. The CHPS Eat Up the Debt Challenge is to pay off the debt for families who experience this hardship. With your support, we can do it!
Our goal is $20,000...can, will you help us achieve it?
